She also found time to set up The Original Print Place, a gallery space dedicated to promoting the work of other Welsh printmakers on Anglesey, the island she had come to love following her marriage to the Leader of Plaid Cymru, Ieuan Llwyd, in 1974. The 'holy' island, with its long record of human habitation and ancient, mystical and religious history reaching back into the Iron Age, became her central subject matter, her expressive, poetic style well suited to conveying its intense spiritual atmosphere and beautiful rugged landscapes.
