Hard to pull off but Hannam has enough of a firm grounding in 20th century art – not just Matisse and Picasso but, I sense, Nolde, Beckmann, Rouault and perhaps even the landscape sensitivities of Ivan Hitchens as well, to make something very particular and individual. Showing with Hove based Cameron Contemporary Art , his latest show, ‘Short Stories’, is popping up this month at Menier Gallery . N U THUMB nail Luke Hannam ‘Black Milk Jug under the Arbor’
