In keeping with the vision of providing a platform for art – the visual representation of an ethos, both old world and contemporary - Visual Art, in collaboration with Marwar, puts together an exhibition of the latest works of contemporary artist Dileep Sharma.
Visual Art UK is a gallery that showcases the works of artists, and makes them available to art enthusiasts from all walks of life. The idea being that art is, and should be, exposed to and appreciated by more than just a select few. Marwar is a lifestyle magazine that profiles the achievements of the Marwari community. Together they bring you an exhibition of stylish, contemporary art by a young achiever.
Dileep Sharma, a BFA (Painting) graduate from Rajasthan School of Art, also has a Masters Degree in Fine Art (Print Making) from Sir J.J.School of Arts, Mumbai. He has held solo shows, and has participated in several group shows as well .His works are part of private and public collection, in India and abroad.
This show intends to achieve the dual purpose of showcasing the most recent works of the talented Dileep Sharma, and encourage and extend his particular form of creative expression across boundaries. Whether water colours or prints, each piece is fiercely individualistic. Like any artistic work, it lends itself to myriad interpretations, while paradoxically, reflecting the firm imprint of Sharma’s distinct style and insight.
This is contemporary Indian art at its finest for enthusiasts in India and abroad. Starting at the Institute of contemporary Indian Art, Kalaghoda (Mumbai) at 6 pm on June 21st, 2007, the show continues to unfold to foreign aficionados between July 8 through 14, 2007 .
A private viewing will be held on the Monday 9th July between 6:30pm and 9:00pm. The venue of the exhibition will be at 28 Cork Street, Mayfair, London WIS 3NG and it will be on view daily from Monday through Saturday between 11:00am and 8:00pm.
