5th March 2007 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Oc-Eo Art are delighted to confirm their Spring 2007 exhibition programme with two new exhibitions of contemporary Vietnamese fine art from both new and established artists:
Hanoi Spring will open at the Arndean Gallery, 23 Cork Street, London on April 10th with a reception by invitation only starting at 6.30pm. Featuring six new young Hanoi artists alongside some of the more established names, the exhibition will highlight the variety of work being produced in oil on canvas that emanates from Vietnam today.
Strong use of colour in subjects ranging across landscapes and vibrant street scenes, haunting waterscapes and still lifes, instil a sense of beauty in the day to day. Vietnamese art is both fresh and exciting.
The exhibition will be open to the general public from 10am-6pm, Wednesday April 11th to Saturday April 21st (not Sundays).
Hidden Charms, opening at the Chapel Row Gallery, 6 Chapel Row, Bath with a private preview on May 3rd and opening reception on Saturday May 5th (12-4pm), presents work by both young and established artists from Vietnam and China in a variety of media.
From Vietnam, water colours on rice paper, water colours on silk, gouache and lacquer on cheesecloth, will be shown alongside the more traditional lacquer on wood, as well as some oils on canvas. We will also be exhibiting a series of charming ink and water colour paintings on rice paper, mounted on silk, by a group of artists from Xian in China.
The exhibition runs from May 4th to May 16th, and will be open from 10am-6pm, Monday to Saturday.
Invitations to the opening night at the Arndean, and to the reception at Chapel Row are available from firstname.lastname@example.org, or by calling Oc-Eo Art on 01373 832 939.
