Oc-Eo Art are delighted to announce our next exhibition and sale of contemporary Vietnamese fine art, and our first step into the London art scene.
‘From East to West’ opens at The Troubadour, 267 Old Brompton Road, London SW10 (nr Earls Court tube) on the 14th February with a preview, by invitation only, from 6.30-9.30pm, and to the public from 15th-17th February, 12.00-6.00pm daily.
‘From East to West’ features ten of the most exciting contemporary Vietnamese artists. Painting in oil on canvas or lacquer on wood, most already have substantial international reputations and their work is regularly exhibited in Asia and North America.
Subject matter ranges across landscapes and vibrant street scenes, haunting waterscapes, realistic still lifes that instil a sense of beauty in the day to day, portraits of Vietnamese girls in sombre and dreamlike moods, or serene in their traditional white costumes. What makes their art special is the refreshing and compelling treatment these artists bring to their subject.
