Her new fibre art shows a move towards an abstraction. Using silver colour in fibre art she is coming in to dimension of sculpture. Painting is another dimension of”The Fibre Art”. Artist is using etching technique for new expression. She said… my art is for my self a provocation. …

Bozena Kaluga`s works of art are created on base of an extremely original cooperation between knitting and collage. It rises from operating with tread and colour, which are used in different configurations and proportions. That is the way how compositions, resembling architectonic constructions and details are created. They look like human figures, windows and stained-glass, even abstract symbols of themes, which are used by the author.

They are also a form of human feelings and emotions. She considers a time, vanishing of illusions, hanker after breaking through decline and monotony. Some of the works have a strong lyrical, even personal character.

Bozena Kaluga was born in Poland. She was trained in the Academy of Art 1980-85 in Poland. She graduated with a master’s degree in fibre in 1985 and since then she has exhibited all over Europe. For several years she based in England. Her works has been recognized on European market over the last twenty years. She has produced work in a variety of media and has exhibited widely.

Bozena has won several prestigious awards at various exhibitions of fibre art like International Textilekunst Betonac-Prijs, Belgium, Jugend Gestaltet Munich, Germany; Gold Medal,
