Wilf Roberts was born in 1941 and raised in the Mynydd Bodafon area of Anglesey. In 1962 he moved to Croydon

where he taught art and studied part time at Croydon Art College. In 1974 he returned to Anglesey, and worked in

Local Government until his retirement in 1996, since when he has devoted his time to painting.

His interest in painting and drawing has always been an integral part of his life. This latest body new work shows

his ability to evoke a sense of hiraeth and reflects the hidden tranquillity of his native island, Anglesey; they are

depicted in equal measure in his paintings of evening marshland, dawn heathland, hidden cottages and the rural

landscape. Wilf has a wide following and his work is held in public and private collections in the UK and worldwide.

This exhibition consists of approximately 40 new paintings and promises to repeat the enormous success of his last

solo show at Oriel Tegfryn.
