An exhibition showcasing the work of Sue Munson and Ros Perton

5th September – 31st October
Several trips to Paris and Mondays in the print room have taken Sue's work in a new direction,
away from the traditional landscape and still life, and into a subtle, more mysterious context. This
new body of work is based on old books, manuscripts and faded paper. Mark making and
typography feature in these wonderful largely abstract pieces.
Ros has always been interested in what makes ordinary things into treasures. When she inherited
some silver sheets from her late father, she had to find a way to incorporate the silver into her own
work. Small silver bowls were made to nest inside the fine porcelain stacks. Here, precious metal
and memories interact with the surrounding vessels.
