painter.

‘For
more
than
thirty
years
we
have
been

coming
to
Purbeck,
where
we
own
a

coastguardcottage.
The
seascape
and
the

landscape
have
proved
to
be
constant

sourcesof
inspiration
in
my
work,
when

therefore
I
was
invited
to
exhibit
paintings

at
L’Artishe
Gallery
as
part
of
the
Purbeck

Arts
Weeks
it
seemed
very
fitting.
It
is
a

real
pleasure
to
show
in
Swanage.’

Sheila
Girling

for
her

is
still
fresh
today.
She

has
said
‘I’ll
go

at
art

providing
a
much‐needed
cultural
