The Islington Contemporary Art and Design Fair is an established showcase for artists and designers to

promote and sell their work in one of the largest independent contemporary art spaces in central London.

The next event will take place during October 2011 at the Candid Galleries, London, and will comprise of a

series of four exhibitions, each featuring different creative disciplines. The exhibitions will run from Friday

to Sunday with a private view on the Thursday evening. Now in its seventh year, the ICADF is a unique

event with a dynamic mix of both emerging young artists and those with established reputations.

Featured artists exhibiting at this years fair include painters Andrew Newton and Caroline McCready,

illustrators Katie Brookes and Frances Quinlivan and a host of jewellers, ceramicists and other specialist


October also sees the return of the annual Angel Moving Image Festival. Taking place during the first

weekend of the fair, the festival will screen some of the best short film and video by UK and International

film makers and video artists.

The Islington Contemporary Art and Design Fair is held at the Candid Arts Galleries, located directly

behind the Angel tube station in London in the heart of Islington. As a self funded registered charity, the

main aims of the trust are to promote arts and arts education with particular emphasis on newly graduated

artists and designers.

Week 1 07-09 October: Painting, Sculpture, Time Based Media

Angel Moving Image Festival Fri: 2-6pm Sat & Sun 1-5pm

Week 2 14-16 October: Photography, Illustration, Graphics, Printmaking

Week 3 21-23 October: Fashion, Textiles, Jewellery

Week 4 28-30 October: Design Products, Furniture, Ceramics, Glass
