A series of 28 paintings
exploring the happy coincidence between shape, line, texture and colour. Gohar Goddard is primarily a colourist
who concentrates on the 'architecture' of a painting; exploring all the elements
that creates a visual pleasure.
Texture and design are
recurring themes in Gohar's work, however you also notice contemplation on the
physicality of the medium and the tactile quality of materials, the aesthetics
of stillness and calm and the beauty of colour
combinations.
The show is a therapeutic
sequence of simplicity and meditation on shape and
colour.
