VANGUARD COURT STUDIOS

Vanguard Court Studios is situated in a private cobbled yard off a busy main road in Camberwell. Originally an old calendar factory, it was converted into studios in the mid 1980’s. Eminent ceramic artists Julian Stair and Edmund de Waal shared these studios in the mid 1990’s. Although they have both now moved on, they have left behind a high standard of working and intellectual practice. It is still apparent today in the work of the eight ceramic artists who currently share the two large studios. Carina Ciscato, Robert Cooper, Alex Hagan, Catrin Howell, Chris Keenan, Sun Kim, Merete Rasmussen and Annie Turner
