ref: eYt Jul 28-Aug 2 2009 THE MALL GALLERIES The Society of Equestrian Artists: 30th Anniversary Exhibition - return to Galleries PR Index

The Society of Equestrian Artists is delighted to be celebrating *its’ 30th Anniversary in 2009* and will once again be holding this year’s show at the Mall Galleries in London.

The Society of Equestrian Artists was formed in 1979 to encourage the study of equine art, in order to promote a standard of excellence worthy of its importance in British artistic tradition. With more than five hundred members from all over Europe together with artists residing in the USA, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, senior members include some of the world’s top equestrian artists. The Society’s aim is to promote the practice of equestrian painting and sculpture and to advance public education and appreciation of this art.

The highlight of our *30th Anniversary Year* will be our annual Summer Exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London SW1 from *28 July - 2 August*. In this special year, we are delighted to include a number of works on loan from private collections and that of the *British Sporting Art Trust*, at what will be a ‘must see’ event of the year for the equestrian and sporting art enthusiast.

Works by Neil Cawthorne, Liz Armstrong, Alison Wilson, Mary Herbert, Peter Smith, Davina Bosanquet plus many others will feature.
