VAUGHAN, CLOUGH, MINTON, CRAXTON & BEYOND: SIXTY YEARS OF BRITISH ART THE MENIER GALLERY Tues - Fri 11am - 6pm / Sat 11am - 4pm Enquiries: 07899715927 / gerard_hastings@yahoo.co.uk Private View: Tuesday 10 December 6.30pm - 9.00pm. All are welcome. The Menier Gallery at London Bridge plays host to a private collection of works assembled over twenty-five years. “It’s time to sell some of the art we have accrued to make way for new things and free up some space on the walls,” says art historian Gerard Hastings. He, along with his business partner David Evans, presents an impressive range of paintings, drawings and prints by both Neo-Romantic and Modern British artists. “We both appreciate the same painters and have been fortunate enough to have spent time with some extraordinary pictures over the years. But we’re aware that, as collectors, we are merely custodians. It’s time to shuffle things up a bit and give other people the opportunity to live with some of these lovely pieces.” The Menier Gallery, 51-54 Southwark St. London SE1 1RU Robert Medley, Summer Eclogue 1953 (detail)
