FRESH: ART FAIR “The best contemporary art fair outside London” Now in its third year, FRESH: has new Exhibitors and fresh ideas to appeal to an ever-growing number of art lovers. Private View from 5.30pm Thursday 25 th April www.freshartfair.net The 2018 Fair welcomed 5,000 visitors over three days “We hope to increase these numbers in 2019” says founder Eleanor Wardle. “Art fairs make it easy and enjoyable for art lovers to find the art they love. They can see fifty or more top quality galleries in one place in a couple of pleasant hours with a glass of wine in their hands”. This year Fresh: will host 51 leading UK Galleries showing 5,000 works by 500 national and international artists. There will be original prints and paintings, sculpture, glass and ceramics from £100 to £20,000, with exciting new work from emerging talent, established artists and Royal Academicians. Blake, McLean, Hockney, Hirst, Emin, Sutherland and Frost will all be there. This year there will be new Talks by leading London frame-makers Darbyshire, Interior designer and Instagram phenomenon Dee Campling and RWA Director Alison Bevan. Acclaimed international painter and print-maker Jim Starr will demonstrate the mysteries of print-making and there will always be at least two artists demonstrating their skills. International Fine Art Auctioneer Bonhams is returning to advise visitors on selling their old art “There’ll be a lot going on but strictly no racing, just art …and coffee, lunch, champagne, talks and artist demonstrations” , says Eleanor.
