A generous gesture but with huge implications for the art market – no more works from the estate would ever be released for sale, meaning that those Frinks remaining in private collections would, of course, gain significantly in scarcity value. All of which makes the superb show currently at B eaux Arts, her appointed dealer for many years, and mounted to mark the 25th anniversary of her death, an event of some import – there won't be many more like it. 1960s pieces like ‘Horizontal Birdman 1’ and ‘Homme Libellule I (Dragonfly Man)’ are simply great works. Also part of the celebrations is the major Frink retrospective at the Norwich Sainsbury Centre. NU THUMB nail Elisabeth Frink ‘Easter Head II’
