Born and brought up in the North West and a student at Wigan and Manchester Art Schools, Green had a previous, youthful career as a semi-professional DJ in the massive Northern soul music/dance scene not to mention coaching the Wigan Wasps swimming team. These energetic pursuits find dynamic expression in the movement and energy of the forms and colours that give his almost breathtaking large abstract canvases their exhilarating and still profoundly youthful character.
