This show includes some 200 artworks and other items, and marks the first time the gallery has dedicated a full season and all of its space to a single exhibition. A student and teacher at the Royal College of Art, Bawden along with contemporaries Paul Nash and Eric Ravilious has been credited with reinventing watercolour for the 20th century. His innovative, warm, witty and delightful style has frequently given him recognition as one of Britain’s foremost artists and designers. MT THUMB nail Edward Bawden ‘Gnat and Lion’
