As the title suggests, her work is preoccupied with the landscape, but whereas her earlier exhibition focussed on the beautiful rock-face at Gwithian these new pieces look more at the interaction of the streams and rivers coming off the higher ground of Godolphin, a commanding hill on the eastern edge of the Penwith Peninsula, with the rock formations along the nearby coastline. Using a distinctly unusual array of materials – ground Italian Marmorino and Moroccan Tadelakt limestone plaster, quartz mica and, on occasion, shards of ceramics picked up in the fields around Godolphin – she creates semi-abstract 2 and 3D pieces of shimmering, glinting colour.
