Showing some 60 pieces of work, it traces a life’s progress from drawings in the 1940s to large oil paintings completed this year. Pat trained at Camberwell School of Art, spent time in Spain, France and Morocco (the last a particular source of inspiration, also being a member of The British Moroccan Society), ran her own art gallery in Kent, taught art and nurtured a family. Her work is collected and shown in the UK and internationally. Pat feels her claim to have lived ‘A Creative Life’ to be therefore justified, and also that being left handed as well as dyslexic may have given her some “unrecognised advantages” – rather than a disability.
