The work is just pouring out in fact, almost as though to make up for the decade or more lost in the late 1960s-early 70s when married to Roger Hilton and, basically, forbidden to paint. She is, of course, a gifted painter, as the Tate St Ives show in 2008made plain – she graduated from the Royal College with prizes and scholarships galore – her lyrical, intensely colourful work growing increasingly abstract with the long standing influences of Bonnard, Braque and Matisse now revealing clear signs of Roger Hilton’s work, albeit imbued with an intensely feminine energy.
