Primary colours command Anthony Frost’s
distinctive planar paint constructions and collages,
filling in abstract and geometric patterns to form
substantial tactile statements. Born into an artistic
community in St Ives in 1951, he studied painting
and design first in Banbury, where his parents Sir
Terry and Kath Frost were living, and then at Cardiff
College of Art 1970-3. While continuing to paint he
then lectured in the major art schools of England.
He presently lives again in the artistic community of
West Cornwall, his work notably featured in ‘Art
Now Cornwall’ at Tate St Ives in 2007.
