Her technique is to lay out the picture subject rapidly but then work on the canvas in a prolonged and painstaking way which still creates a spontaneous, colour- rich result, be it a portrait, landscape or street scene. Trained at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art in Oxford, she has lived most of her life within a stone’s throw of the sea – primarily Cornwall and Scotland – and has exhibited extensively in both those places as well as elsewhere including the Discerning Eye exhibition at London’s Mall Galleries .
