One look at their current show of two seriously good and well regarded painters – London-based David Wiseman and Linda Brill – tells you immediately that this is a gallery not prepared to go for something easy and of simply local interest. Wiseman is ex-RCA himself, his light filled and painterly semi-abstract river scenes distinguished and intensely atmospheric, and make an intriguing contrast to Brill’s quietly focussed still lifes.
