Their latest exhibition, a retrospective show dedicated to the remarkable portrait sculptor Pam Taylor ARBS, who died last year, is a good example of their enterprise, bringing to wider attention an artist who all too easily has slipped from view. Taylor, like many sculptors workingin her genre, is someone perhaps better known for her public works (includingthe Globe Theatre’s William Shakespeare) than as a name in her own right. But just look at the work – from the early 1970s study Twenties Girl – crisply modelled and intensely felt – to the later powerful figure studies. A real find.
