Galleries - June 2015

With galleries from as far afield as USA, Canada, Korea, Singapore, Greece, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Belgium and Denmark amongthe 100 or so exhibitors at this month’s Affordable Art Fair , Hampstead (11 to 14 June), there’s an unmistakably international feelingto this year’s event. And, set on Hampstead Heath itself, close to the ponds, it is not surprisingthat this lovely venue has proved so attractive and successful since it was founded in 2011 – last year visitor artists too are given their usual focus with artists selected from the University of the Arts London by the ‘Made in Arts London’ artists’ collective. In short all the fun of the Fair. numbers reached around 16,500 and more are anticipated this year. The set up is very much as in previous years with prices ranging from £100 to £5000 and the usual wide range of events, talks, tours, activities and workshops for adults as well as children. This year there is an association with the Hampstead School of Art which means many of their lecturers are takingpart while in return, the Fair is supportingthe School charitably with a special private view (on 10 June).
