A traveller, he took a trip alone to the Arctic and hitched across Africa with his wife and for many years was the artist in residence at the Glastonbury Festival. Kurt Jackson’s life sounds more than busy but he still finds time to draw or paint every day either in his studio, where he lives in Cornwall, or plein air. Using an extensive range of materials and techniques he produces large canvases alive with natural details, many are enhanced with a written commentary on what we see.
