Tue–Sat10–5, Sun 11–5 ralph@welshart.net www.welshart.net t/f 01492 642070 Peter Graham ‘Port de Menton’ Peter Graham’s early career after leaving Glasgow S of A in 1980 was as film editor for the BBC and this is apparent in his choice of landscape subjects, most notably of the Inner Hebrides so beloved of the Scottish Colourists, that he took on when he returned to painting full-time in the 1990s. As he recently put it “the trail of the Colourists was a particularly good one as they identified places with interesting light”. He loves Miami too – and this show ( Roger Billcliffe, map 2) ‘A Painter’s Odyssey’, takes us from there and New York to Mull and Iona via the South of France – another Colourist haunt – on an exhilarating rollercoaster of fiery reds and singing blues and greens.
