Mon–Sat 10–5, Sun 11–4.30 tegfryn@artwales.com www.artwales.com t 01248 715128 Geraint Dodd ‘Bracken Strip’ Born in Holyhead, living and working most of his life in North Wales, the subject matter of Geraint Dodd’s work has come to focus largely on the way the social and political history of the region has affected the land- scape, the traces and marks it has left on forming key signifiers in his richly coloured and lyrical landscape paintings. For, as this major new show, his first at Ffin y Parc, makes immediately obvious, these are by no means didactic exercises in environ- mental politics but painterly and sensitive explorations of his memories of space and place.
